started west where we saw a lot of heavy snow in california and midwest with heavy snow reports of over a foot of snow across parts of arkansas illinois to parts of indiana. this storm system very significant. we had reports of tornadoes across portions of the deep south. yesterday we saw that occurring across eastern portions of north carolina. significant weather. as far as tornadoes go i think that's pretty much over with for today. we are looking at very heavy snowfall and rainfall around coastal areas. new york city dealing with that in the overnight still dealing with that there. that's the story through long island and massachusetts. as we head inland where temperatures are cold enough you are getting that snowfall. up state new york, vermont, new hampshire accumulating across the road ways. we have a number of winter storm warnings in effect across northeast and new england. most of these are in effect through tomorrow morning. we have a prolonged period of time of heavy snow, heavy rain and strong winds gusting over 30-40 miles per hour. >>> maria molina. thank you very much. >
